You have a beautiful home, a beautiful bannister and a beautiful garland. Do yourself favor and buy these. The back is sort of rubberized to prevent slip, or rotation if you prefer, and it works well. The “ties” are a cord covered wire. They are sturdy, but not too stiff. These worked very well for me. I highly recommend them. I wouldn’t put that stiff, abrasive wire against my bannister without some padding between to protect my nice wood. They worked perfectly.If I have any criticism it is this, they are a bit pricey for what they are. In the end though, they are a valuable investment.
