Update 1/30/25: For the last 2 months I’m having trouble with the 2nd monitor on the 2nd PC. On the 1st primary computer video outputs to dual monitors are working fine. On the 2nd PC I can’t seem to get the 2nd monitor to work. I’ve had to take elimination steps to troubleshoot the source of the problem and have ruled out the video card, cables, and that 2nd monitor as potential problem source. The only thing that I can’t swap out with an equivalent , known good component is the KVM itself. I suspect that the 2nd video input port of the KVM is bad since everything else is working as expected.A second issue is the intermittent powering off of the USB ports so none of the USB peripherals will work until I switch the KVM to the other PC and switch back to the original pc. I’ve gone into settings to disable the ability of the PC’s to turn off USB devices to save energy but that has no effect. At first I see these problems as a challenge to overcome but now I’m at the end of my rope and will have to consider replacing this KVM with another unit. This would be the best KVM I’ve ever used had it work as it supposed to.Original review: I’m using this KVM dual monitor switch to connect 2 computers to 2 monitors of different sizes & resolutions. Unlike all my previous KVM where switching computer also switches both monitors, keyboard, mouse, and any USB devices attached to the selected PC – an all or nothing affair. This KVM allows for more granular control where you can switch both monitors or assign a particular monitor to a specific PC. USB devices will always go with the selected PC but at least I can now watch movies on 1 monitor playing on my personal computer while working on the other PC with the 2nd monitor. In other words, you can independently assign monitor A to display output of PC1 and monitor B to PC2. The attached controller is pretty cool, allowing to place the fairly big KVM switch box out of sight. The only thing that can make it better would be having hotkeys to switch PC’s so you don’t have to remove your hands away from the keyboard. Switching from one PC to another is very fast, no noticeable lag. The supplied USB cables are a little too short but that flaw is negated with the fact that I can position the box out of sight closer to the computers and control everything with the smaller control pad.I haven’t tried the audio outputs so can’t comment on that feature. Wish it could get power from the USB cable(s) so that I don’t have to plug in another wall wart.
