Design code: STAG/B1 Our Celtic Stag brooch is made by and exclusive to Love from Skye on the Isle of Skye. It’s elegant, graceful form, created by intricate Celtic knot-work, suggests the shape of a powerful, grand Scottish stag’s head. This open knot-work piece measures 55mm x 35mm and is made from Sterling silver. This design is new and was inspired by our popular stag necklet & earring designs. Our Celtic Stag brooch is a delicate but not overly fragile piece. It should not to be used to fasten heavy cloth. It is a decorational piece so should be handled with more care. Bryony wear’s her’s on thick fabric but fastens the brooch through a small layer of cloth only. She often wears her brooch on her kilt to create a more gathered look but uses a basic, large, pin underneath to do all the work and uses the stag brooch for decoration only, through a small layer of the cloth on the surface. Feeding it through very heavy cloth or multiple layers could bend the pin & Celtic part. Bryony has tested hers out well before adding to our collection and receives so many compliments!
